Tipton Co., IN marriage license for William Marshall and Lucy Ann Rickerd (or Richard)
"Be it remembered, that on the first day of November in the year of our Lord one
thousand eight hundred and fifty two the following marriage license was issued by the
Clerk of the Tipton Circuit Court, to=wit:
State of Indiana, Tipton County, Sct: The State of Indiana by any person empowered by law
to solemnize marriages in said county, Greeting: You are hereby duly authorized to join
together as husband and wife William Marshall and Lucy Ann Rickerd (or Richard)
In testimony whereof, I, Alex M. Young, Clerk of the Tipton Circuit Court, have hereunto
set my hand and affixed the seal of said court, at Tipton this 1st day of November A.D.
1852.

And afterwards, to=wit: on the 4th day of November in the year of our Lord one thousand
eight hundred and fifty two, James Barrow returned to and filed in the office of the clerk
of said court the following certificate, to=wit:
State of Indiana, Tipton County, Sct: I, James Barrow, a Justice of the Peace in said
county, do certify that on the fourth day of November 1852, I joined together as husband
and wife William Marshall and Lucy Ann Rickerd (or Richard)
Given under my hand this 4th day of November, 1852
