Hi. Is there a John Barr, son in law of Moses Jones in the Tipton Co. book
from 1840's to 1870's?
Thanks,
Kathy in Kansas

Thank you, Randy, a jpeg would be perfect. I've read the book, copied a
page
a long time ago, but promptly misplaced it. The book isn't
available in
our
library, and has always been on my 'to do' list for my next
visit to a
larger
library.
Martin and Sally were both raised in Randolph/Tucker county in West
Virginia
(Tucker formed in later years); their daughter Julia was born there
in
1829,
sons Valentine and Simeon were born in Ohio in 1831 and 1835
(Valentine
was
killed in the Civil War), Noah was born in 1836 or 37 and died before
1850,
John was born in Illinois in 1837 and moved to Nebraska after the
Civil
War,
Solomon was born 1840 in Illinois, Asa and Sarah were both born in
Tipton
County, in 1849 and near 1850, but they never survived.
I have much more on this family, but too much to post it all on the web.
I
also have details of the family cemetery if you're interested.
Are you a
descendant?
