Susan,
I have the below listed Stout that served in the Civil War. My list is not a complete
list. The county Library does have a set of the Indiana Adjt. General's report that
lists all Indiana Veterans of the Civil War. This listing is done by the unit. Just out of
curiousity, there is a John Stout at my church who's grandfather or great grandfather
was also named John. I'll check with him to see if he maybe related.

Hi,
Does anyone have a list of people from Tipton County, IN who served in the Civil
War? I have a David Stout (1841-1862) son of John Stout (1804-1856) and Sarah
Milburn Stout who may have died while serving. David may have been the father of
my great grandfather John A. Stout who was orphaned about 1862. Any information
about this family would be greatly appreciated -- or any information about a
Stout family who may have had a son named John A. Stout orphaned between 1862 --
1870.
Sincerely,
Susan E. Davis
