I am assisting a friend of mine with look ups on the Internet for a Phillip Lightfoot who married a Susannah Smith. I know that Phillip served in the War of 1812, but that is as much as I know at this time. I am trying to find out who parents are for my friend. It looks like the two of you may have a connection. I know that the family moved to Indiana from Falmouth, Pendleton County, Kentucky. I have printed off a copy of your post to share with my friend. Will try and get back with you to let you know if this sounds right. You can e-mail me directly to exchange any info that they might already have.

I have her ancestors going back many generations, but I don't have any of her descedent info. We certainly can trade data. I can read anything you can send: .rtf, Word, WordPerfect, GEDCOM, etc.
I'll start compiling data for you. I'll include notes and stories. I'm sure you like reading them as much as I do. Any family stories about about Hannah's life or her children, grandchildren etc will add dimension to the normal list of names, dates, places.

I believe your Ann E. KELLEY is the oldest sister of one of my g-g-grandmothers, Sarah Elizabeth KELLEY BIDDLE (1844-1922). Her parents were Jesse and Isabelle JENKINS KELLEY. Jesse and Isabelle were married in 1836 in Jackson Co., OH. They must have moved to Jefferson Twp. in Tipton Co., IN, sometime between 1846 and 1850 as I've found them listed in the 1850 Census for Tipton Co., IN.
I would be glad to exchange any information I might have with you, just contact me at my e-mail address. Thank you.

Do you know George W. Gates's parents names? I am curious, as I am researching a Gates line who moved west from NY. Some relatives travel to OH, as I have a document stating related to a Jacob Gates of Oh, but have no clue who this Jacob is. There is a George in the line, who may be a great uncle to my ggg grandfather, or brother. The name Merrill appears in my family as well. It was apparently a last name of a woman that was from a very influential family of the time (early 1800's) and becomes the first and middle names throughout my line.
