Beecher B. Lemmon (June 8, 1893 - Feb. 12, 1985)

Beecher B. Lemmon, 91, Lafayette, formerly of Pleasant Lake, died at 2:25 a.m. Tuesday
in the Indiana Veteran's Home Hospital, Lafayette.
He was born on June 8, 1893, in Pleasant Lake to Maurice and Anna Lemmon. He graduated
from Pleasant Lake High School and Valpairaso College.
Mr. Beecher was preceded in death by his first wife, Erma White Lemmon, in 1912 and his
second wife, Helen Hubka Lemmon, in 1923.
He is survived by his wife, Madalene C. Nichols Lemmon, whom he married in 1928 in
Auburn; three sons, Arthur Lemmon and Jack Lemmon, both of Lafayette; and Russell Lemmon,
San Jose, Calif.; two daughters, Mrs. William (Coyene) Halpern, Arlington, Va.; and Mrs.
Brad (Carlyle) Pare, Richmond, Mich.; and eight grandchildren.
Mr. Lemmon was a well known chef in the Lafayette area, where he had been a resident the
past 40 years.
Memorial services will be held at 10 a.m., Saturday at Hippensteel Funeral Home,
Lafayette, with the Rev. Larry Johnson officiating. Graveside services, with Weicht
Funeral Home in charge, will be held later in the year at Pleasant Lake Cemetery.
Memorials are to the Cancer Fund.
