Hi:
Got your message. I show Isaac Lupton, b. 1798, Va., 1856, Ind., son of William Lupton,
b. 1754, Va., d. 1811, Highland Co. Ohio & Bathsheba Allen, b. 1760, Va., d. 1847,
Fairfield, Ohio.
I found some info on this family in "Biographical Record of Tippecanoe Co., Indiana,
"The Lewis Publishing Co., Chicago, Ill., 1888:
"Allen Lupton was the only one of his father's family living in Tippecanoe Co.,
Indiana in 1888, and is numbered among the leading citizens of Sheffield Co. He grew to
manhood on the old homestead and was educated in the schools of Wyandotte. He
participated in the raid after the rebel General Morgan. He married Mrs. Sarah (Graham)
Peppin, a native of Ind., and this union was blessed with two sons, Mark and Arthur. By
her first marriage Mrs. Lupton had four daughters, Ella, Nancy, Flora and Lillie. Mr.
Lupton lived on the old Peppin homestead of 152 acres, well-improved, a substantial
two-story residence, built 1876, a good barn and other valuable improvements. In politics
he is a Democrat. He has served his township as a trustee for four years, which office he
filled to the entire satisfaction of his constituents. He was a man of gentle disposition
and cordial manners, and honorable in all his dealings, and has gained the confidence and
respect of the entire communi!
ty where he has spent his entire life."
Allen was a trustee of the Sheffield Methodist Episcopal Church 1878-1882.
Siblings of Allen, I have Mary, married Dodson, possibly Peter, and have seen others
listing Emeline.
