JAMES ERWIN DIES

James Erwin, 78 well-known farmer of Tippecanoe county, died at his farm home near
Number 1o Wednesday at 12:55 p.m. His entire life was spent in this vicinity He was a
member of the Weaver Chapel United Brethren church, Octagon Lodge, F. and A. M. and
Scottish Rite and Shrine of Indianapolis
On March 2, 1887 he was married to Alza Golden, who preceded him in death. Surviving
are a son, John of Dunreith, three daughters, Mrs. Essie Wallace at home, Mrs. Mary E.
Templeton of Lafayette, and Mrs. Golda Schuessler of Louisville, Ky.; two sisters, Mrs.
Eliza Golden of Lafayette, route 1 and Mrs. Mary Butler of Lafayette; and a brother
William. Lafayette, route 1.
The body is at the Templeton – Pope funeral home, where friends may call after noon
today. Services will be held there at 11 a.m. Saturday Revs. Ivan Wood and James Campbell
will be in charge with burial in Grand View.
