Hi Folks,
I wanted to let you know of two new additions to the Tippecanoe County
GenWeb site.
The Battle Ground Cemetery was walked and logged in 1999 by Mary E. Wilson
and she has graciously shared these records with us! There are over 1,500
burials now online. Mary not only read and transcribed the tombstones, but
went through obituaries, death records and sexton records and made note of
burials without tombstones.
The file is divided into seven pages and a name index showing the section
and row number is also included. There are links to each page at the bottom
of the index pages, along with a link to the map of the cemetery drawn by
Mary.
These records are a very valuable resource for Tippecanoe County researchers
and Mary has our wholehearted thanks for sharing them with us!

In 1940 the General de Lafayette Chapter DAR copied and transcribed the
Birth, Baptism, Death and Marriage records (1837-1898) for St. John's
Episcopal Church of Lafayette. I have re-transcribed the births, baptisms
and death records and am making them available online. As of now the death
records are only partially done -1837-1846 are completed - more will come
later. These records are wonderful and I'm sure will be a great benefit to
those researching early Tippecanoe County ancestors.

I hope you all have a wonderful Thanksgiving!
Happy searching.
