David Hill
David Hill passed away at 8:30 oclock Saturday morning at his late
residence, 1923 Echo street, death resulting from progressive paralysis. He
was 70 years old and had been a resident of Tippecanoe county for many
years. He was engaged in farming near Dayton for a long time and then moved
to this city, where he opened a wood and coal office. He was a Democrat in
politics and was a member of the Masonic fraternity at Dayton. A widow and
five children, two sons and three daughters, survive. One of the sons,
Joseph Hill, is an attorney at Denver, Col. Mr. Hill was a man of the
highest integrity and was actuated by generous impulses. He had a benevolent
disposition and was always ready to help those in need. The funeral will be
conducted from the residence this afternoon at 2 oclock, Rev. Edward Barr
will officiate. The interment will be made in the Dayton cemetery under the
auspices of the Masonic fraternity.
