I was told in a genealogy class several years ago that when you submit
your family information to My Family or Ancestry, it becomes their
property and they have to right to sell it, but you lose all rights to
that information. Rootsweb states that WorldConnect information belongs
to the person who posted it. I am not sure what the new copyright laws
will do, but what I have read about it sounds like the death knell to
genealogy.
