Birth records were not required by law in the state of Indiana until
1882........same with deaths. Try looking for bible records, perhaps even
church records.

How do I find a birth notice or certificate of John Cremens. This is the
way the name was spelled in 1860, Crimins 1870. He was born in Lafayette,
Indiana. Also looking for the death of his mother, Mary. I only know she
died in 1863. Thanks for any help. eileen
