LIST OF LETTERS
Remaining in the Post Office at Lafayette, Indiana, on the 1st day of April,
1846. Persons calling for those letters are requested to say they are
advertised, or they will not be looked for.
Note: I have no idea what became of these letters. This is just a list
published by the local newspaper informing those who had letters waiting for
them at the post office. I imagine if they weren't picked up that they were
sent to the dead letter office or destroyed. I'm not sure what the number
behind the names mean, but I imagine it was to indicate how many letters
there were for that person.
