Greetings Floyd,
I have a photo of your Jacob. The stone is down now and partially covered
by grass. Thank you for sharing your photo. That old Brownie shows other
stones not standing now. And it shows the placement of Jacob.
I was wondering, did you ever find a stone for Catherine? And what was
Amanda maiden name? Her stone says wife of Jacob.

LA,
I greatly appreciate all of your work on this. I can't wait until
you get pictures of my
2x great grandparents' graves (Jacob and Amanda Mitman). The only
photo of them that I have is
one from my Grandmother Mitman's Brownie camera that I have already
posted to Find-A-Grave. If
you get a photo, it will be of great interest to me, as the best
source I have for Jacob
Mitman's birth is date (such as it is) is a backwards calculation
from the DOD and age shown
on his stone. (He is also my Mitman "brick wall", although I have
some strong suspicions as to
his parentage.) Unfortunately, the Brownie picture is not clear
enough to be sure about a couple
of the numbers.
Again, thanks.
