Peggy,
Found this, thought it might be helpful if you still are in need of a look-up.
"Another good research center is on the second floor of Stewart Center at Purdue.
There, university history is well documented in the Archives and Special Collections in
Room 279. The librarian is Katherine M. Markee, the archivist Sammie L. Morris. Hours of
operation are 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday. Colorful new brochures went out this
winter to remind the world about all the offerings.
Holdings include publications such as The Debris yearbooks, volumes of Purdue Alumnus news
magazines, reports and newsletters from the academic schools, photographs of campus events
and buildings. Research materials include the papers of former Presidents James H. Smart,
Winthrop E. Stone, Edward C. Elliott, Frederick L. Hovde and Arthur G. Hansen and interim
president John W. Hicks.
One recent exhibit "Voices That Changed the World" that ended on Feb. 17
showcased 33 of the Purdue Libraries' most unique volumes, among them rare editions
from Copernicus, Darwin, Marx and Shakespeare. Special Collections also houses
publications and papers of Purdue faculty, alumni and administrators, and artifacts that
include historic Purdue memorabilia. "
