I was unable to locate a marriage record for Solomon Penrod & Mary J. French, if they
were married in Stockwell, the marriage record should be in Tippecanoe Co., but it
isn't showing up.

In 1880 the youngest son, Charles (age 12), is found living in the Montgomery Co., IN Poor
Asylum and listed as a pauper.
Solomon Penrod (age 19) is found living in the John Sparger household in 1880 Franklin
Twp., Montgomery Co., IN, working as a laborer.
Their parents don't show up in the 1880 US census.
Rosanna Penrod married George W. Arbegust on December 15, 1872 in Tippecanoe Co., IN
(Bk. C-14, pg. 132)
Regarding Mary J. French's family, I didn't find any family that links to her
directly although there are some French families living in Boone Co., IN in the 1850
census. Since she was married prior to the 1850 it might prove difficult to link her to
her parents. Prior to the 1850 census the only person listed by name in a household was
the head of household. The rest of the occupants were listed as gender & head
counts.
