Mrs. Lydia Lamb, wife of James Lamb, was found dead at ther home in Fort Wayne Saturday
morning at 2 o'clock. She had been in failing health for some years and suffered
greatly from goltre. About midnight on Friday she got up, presumably to make a cup of
coffee for herself. Some time afterwards her husband arose to look for her and found her
lifeless body on the floor. No post mortem was held for it is assumed that death was due
to neuralgia of the heart. Mrs. Lamb was born in Champaign. Illionis and was 52 years old.
She lived in Lafayette until five years ago, when the famly moved to Fort Wayne. Mrs Lamb
was admired for her womanly qualities and had many friends in this city. She laves a
husband, one son William Lamb, and two daughters, Mrs. Minor Balley, of this city and,
Mrs. John Shively, of Allen county. She also leaves one brother, Joseph Kerr, of Ambia,
and four sisters, Mrs. David Foster, Mrs. Frank Moffit and Mrs.Joseph Jackson of
Williamsport and Mrs. Joseph Harve!

The remains were brought her on Tuesday morning at 8 o'clock over the Wabash and were
taken to the Soller-Harrington undertaking establishment, from where the funeral was held
at 9 o'clock. Rev. O. B. Rippetoe officiated and interment was in the Fink cemetery.
