Susan,
Thank you for your input. I also found Arthur on both the 1830 ,1840 & 1850
census', but nothing after 1850.
Is there an indexed cemetery list for Sheffield / Do town death records go back as far as
1847? If so can you tell where I would find this information?
Thanks again, I really appreciate your time & effort.
Joanne

Subject: [INTIPPEC] Arthur Wilson
Other than the fact that Arthur Wilson is also on the 1840 census in
Sheffield township, I don't find any more info on him in my files. Sorry.
Susan
Arthur Wilson is on the 1830 census in Fairfield, Sheffield
Township,
Tippecanoe County, with a wife and a female child between 10 and 15.
Fairfield is now called Dayton. The name was changed about 1834. Dayton is
five miles southeast of Lafayette.
In the history of Sheffield township published in the "Biographical Record"
(1888). a Bruce Wilson and family are listed as settlers at Dayton about
1825. Could this be a relative? Or Arthur by another name?

> His first wife was ELIZABETH (SARAH) DOLITTLE, born 4 Nov. 1783,
> Brownsville, Fayette Co. Pennsylvania, died Sheffield, 1847.
