This is interesting. Does anyone know anything else
about Archerville? It's an interesting area, not
really a town anymore, but sort of a cluster of houses
and buildings out kind of in the middle of nowhere.

J. P. Casey, ?Perry Township,? Journal?s
Journeyings, Lafayette Weekly
Journal, Friday, 13 Dec. 1901, p. 7.
J. E. Archer came from Rossville over
two years ago and opened
the grocery and general merchandise store which he
now conducts. Mr. Archer
is an up-to-date merchant, as his stock and
fixtures will testify and has
secured a large patronage by his courteous
treatment. Everything to be found
in a general merchandise store may be had here and
at reasonable prices.
This neighborhood has been christened Archerville
and Mr. Archer keeps The
Journal posted on the happenings of the vicinity.
