CHARLES H PRING - Charles H. Pring, 82, of 1933 Morton St., died in his home at 9:10 this
morning.
He was born in Americus, was reared there and lived his entire life in Lafayette and
vicinity..
He was married in 1912 at Colburn to Ruby Gladys Runkle. She died in 1948.
He was a graduate of Buck Creek High School. He was employed as a hostler-helper at the
Monon Railroad for 35 years, retiring in 1959.
He was a member of the International Brotherhood of Firemen and Oilers Local No. 641,
Fraternal Order of Police, Arman Lodge 49, and Interstate Association of Retired Railway
Employees No. 3.
Surviving are two daughters, Mrs. Thelma Ralston, who made her home with her father, and
Mrs. Howard (Mary Helen) Popp of Ft. Worth, Texas.
Friends may call from 5 to 9 p.m. Sunday, Hippensteel Funeral Home. Old Rails will
conduct rites there at 7 p.m. Sunday. Service 1 p.m. Monday in Hippensteel Chapel, the
Rev. George Cripe officiation. Interment Lutheran Cemetery, Colburn. Also surviving are
two grandchildren, Rebecca Sue and Katherine. - Lafayette Journal and Courier Sat.
