Mrs. M.Tigue Taken by Death - Mrs. Bridget Tigue, wife of Michael Tigue, of 413 South
First street, and an old and highly regarded resident, died at 12:30 o'clock Tuesday
afternoon at St. Elizabeth hospital where she had been a patient for the past nine weeks.
She had been a semi-invalid for several years and her last fatal illness developed heart
complications that caused her death.
Born in Taunton, Mass., Bridget Dolan came to Lafayette with her parents when she was
three years old. In 1907 she was married to Mr. Tigue who one time was a city official,
and who is now employed at Purdue University. Mrs. Tigue was a member of St. Ann's
church, the Rosary Sodality of that church, the auxiliary of the Ancient Order of
Hibernians, and the St. Elizabeth hospital society.
Besides her husband, she leaves a niece, Miss Edna Brady, who has made her home with the
Tigue's since early childhood. - Nov. 14, 1933 Lafayette Journal & Courier
