LOCAL PLUMBER CALLED BY DEATH.
Edward R. Overesch, 70 prominent local plumber, died at the family residence, 1120 North
Sixteenth street, Sunday morning at 12:40 o'clock. He had been in bad health for
The past two weeks. He was the son of Bernard and Anna (Wilmer) Overesch and was born in
Lafayette on December 1, 1865. He was united in marriage to Miss Carrie Weil on March 21,
1889. He was a member of the Brown Street M.E. Church.
Mr. Overesch was a master plumber, for many years being employed by Abner Werkhoff. Fro
the past eighteen years however, he has conducted a plumbing business of his own at 210
North Tenth street.
Surviving are the widow and two daughters, Altha and Ada, both at home, also a sister,
Mrs. Charles Balser of California.
The body was removed to the Soller-Baker funeral home and will be returned to the
residence where friends may call afternoon Monday. Private funeral services will be held
from the residence at 2:30 o'clock Tuesday afternoon with the Rev. Mr. Dangle, of the
Brown Street M. E. Church, officiating. Interment will be in Rest Haven cemetery.
