Heritage Quest, available online through Tippecanoe County Public Library if
you have a library card, is also wonderful. All books are full view. Of the
top books I found on Google books, here is what I found on HQ:
On HQ- Probably the 1888 edition itself rather than the reprint.
Biographical Record and Portrait Album of Tippecanoe County, Indiana ...
by Lewis Publishing Company, Lewis Publishing Company - Presidents - 1972 -
876 pages - Snippet view on Google
Reprint of the 1888 ed. published by the Lewis Pub. Co., Chicago.
BIOS FROM THIS BOOK have been transcribed on various Websites online, as
well.
On HQ
Past and Present of Tippecanoe County, Indiana
by Richard Patten DeHart - Tippecanoe County (Ind.) - 1909 - 508 pages -
Full view on Google
Not on HQ that I could find, so this is a real find on Google:
Biographical History of Tippecanoe, White, Jasper, Newton, Benton, Warren
by Lewis Publishing Company, Lewis Publishing Co - Tippecanoe County (Ind.)
- 1899 - Full view on Google
Similar book on HQ, from Exploration to 1850:
History of Indiana from Its Exploration to 1922 with Vigo county
by Logan Esarey, William F. Cronin - Indiana - 1922 - Full view on Google
(I believe if you get the right edition of this book, you will find a
chapter at the end on Tippecanoe County. Apparently neither of these is that
edition)
On HQ
Indiana and Indianans: A History of Aboriginal and Territorial Indiana and
. by Jacob Piatt Dunn - Medicine - 1919 - Full view on Google
Sometimes I have trouble locating a particular book on HQ and have to try
several strategies to get a book I know is there to come up again. But once
it comes up, you have full access and can download in sections of 50 pages
or fewer. Still, Google books is nice because you don't have to log in.
