life was looked for here with almost as much regret and sadness as it was in her own home.
Mrs. McCormick was a woman loved by all who knew her. Sweet, gentle and tender, she make
a model wife, a delightful friend and death thought it was known to be assure, could not
have seized a victim more universally beloved in her old home, by her old friends that it
has in this case. She was a daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Jacob Ewry and was born in this
city in 1857, and was married 10 years ago to Earnest O. McCormick, now passenger traffic
manager o!
f the Big Four railway. To the husband the blow is a terrible one. He was perfectly
devoted to her and to their child Lousie. Mr. and Mrs. McCormick were married at the
bride's home in West Lafayette, by the Rev. Dr. Dickinson, and if possible he will be
secured to conduct the funeral services. Immediately after their marriage they went to
Chicago to live, taking up their residence in Cincinnati about five years ago. One
sister, Mrs. William Terry of Chicago, and birth her parents survive Mrs. McCormick. Two
brothers, John J. and Harry have ben dead for several years. The funeral will occur here
Friday afternoon at 2 o'clock. Since the above was in type, the following
announcement has been authorized: The remains will arrive from Cincinnati early of Friday
morning. Funeral services will be at the residence of J. S. Ewry No. 88 South Third
