Eliza A. Camblin was born in Wayne County, Indiana, November 22, 1825. In early childhood
she, with her parents, moved to Tippecanoe County, Indiana, where she resided until she
arrived at womanhood, when she moved to Pulaski County, Indiana.
She was married to David C. Long in 1846. To this union were born thirteen children: Mrs.
Mary A. Batty, of Lucerne; Susan E., who died in childhood; George W., of Morocco, Ind;
Mrs. Sarah C. Fuller of Kansas City, Kan.; Edgar S., of Logansport, Craig H., of Kansas
City, Mo.; Mrs. Mary F. Conn, of Paisley, Oregon; Franklin M., of Winamac, Ind.; Martha
E., Clarence H., and Luther H., all of Logansport, Ind., and John N., who died in
California, December 8, 1915. She leaves twenty-seven grandchildren, thirty-one
great-grandchildren, and three great-great-grandchildren.
In early life she was united with the Presbyterian church, of which she remained a member
until the congregation was broken up by the civil war, after which she was united with the
Christian church, of which she remained a faithful and consistent member until her death
January 29, 1918.
