LEVI J. HAIN CALLED HOME
Sad news to Messrs. Z.S. and C.S. Hain, of Iowa City, brothers of Mr. Levi J. Hain, an
Iowa pioneer, tell of his death at the age of 71, at Muscatine. He was a native of
Tippecanoe County, Indiana, and lived in Iowa since he was five. He settled in Cedar
County, and lived near Moscow, until he was 20. Surviving are his widow (formerly Miss
Caroline Bowman), and three daughters and five sons. One sister and three brothers also
mourn a good man's death.
The funeral was held this afternoon from his late home, and interment was in Greenwood
cemetery. Bereaved relatives from Iowa City and other cities were called to the shadowed
home.
