Thank you so much for the new sources. I had a copy of the 1876 map of Tippecanoe County,
but on the 1866 map I found the location of land my gr-gf Robert Barkley owned before they
"loaded the waggons and headed west" in 1866 or 1867, according to an old letter
I have. He was married to Margaret Elizabeth Shaw, daughter of James Shaw, and I knew
they had lived there for several years, but not that he owned property there. It also
showed so many more Shaw plats than the later map did. It's just such a shame it only
showed first initials, and I think half of them were named James and John, so I can't
tell who's who. My James died in 1853, but many relatives still lived there. Some
time back someone put a copy of a newspaper article on FindAGrave telling of James
Shaw's death in a stage coach accident. I had never known that, and it meant so much
to me.

I found this today.
Thought it was worth sharing. Several of the Vital Records books (p 4) are included.
as well as the history books and Family Histories too.

if this doesn't work, I have it linked on the TIPCOA website too.
