I don't think the Tippecanoe County Library has any county papers, but I
could be wrong. If you don't find it there, you might try the Indiana State
Library in Indianapolis. They have a newspaper project, and they had some
copies of the Dayton "Vidette," a paper published in Dayton (Indiana) in
the late 1870s. They are microfilming all the old newspapers they can find.

The paper was called the Clarks Hill News. My mother had some old
copies
but not back to that time. There may have been other papers, too. The
Tippecanoe County Library has quite a bit of newspapers on microfilm where
I have founded various obits. Don't remember any Clarks Hill newspapers
being in the library. I'll do a little more digging and see what I can
find out. You might call Don Ream in Clarks Hill. He and his wife are the
resident historians and might be able to send you in the right direction.
