Hi Tippecanoe Co List,
Just starting research on my family. This is my first attempt to see if there
is any info on the REUTEBUCH family on this list. Family data follows:
Casper REUTEBUCH, b c1830, Baden Germany, d 28 Mar 1904, Pulaski, IN.
Family info has him in Maryland with wife (no name) and two sons, wife died
and he married Kathrine M. Kreusch, b c1840 Maryland, moved to St. Henry OH,
stayed 20 yrs. as blacksmith. Left grown two boys in St. Henry, also had a
blacksmith shop in Fort Recovery, OH, . Then moved to Winamac, Pulaski Co.
IN, purchased farm of 360 Acres. May have had a blacksmith shop in either
Winamac or Pulaski. Data from the 1880 census: children - John 15, Henry 14,
Adam 12, Charley 9, Silvester 4, Elisabeth 6, Anna M. 1, all born in Ohio,
Mercer Co., Mother and father BP Baden, Prussia. Total of 14 children.
Henry REUTEBUCH, (my grandfather) b 20 Mar 1864 St. Henry OH, d 28 May 1922,
Pulaski, IN.
m Rosa Veronica Farenbaugh b 26 Jan 1871 Indian Creek Twnsp, Pulaski Co. IN
d 21 Nov 1956 Winamac, IN. Henry and Rosa had a blacksmith shop and farm near
Winamac with Rosas sister Frances Hepperly. Henry later had a blacksmith
shop/store/liverystable in Logansport, IN. Also had a blacksmith shop in Star
City, IN. Children: Casper M., Henry C., Frances E., Gerald J., Emmett B.,
twins Johnie and Graci,both died at birth, and Arthur A.
Any information will be greatly appreciated, willing to share info.
