Well, the man from Grandview Cemetery called me back (surprise, surprise!). Bertha is also
buried at Grandview. Her date of death was March 2, 1967. Here is her obit:
"Mrs. Bertha (Harvey) Campbell, 88, of 516 N. Salisbury St., West Lafayette, died at
12:40 a.m. Thursday in Home Hospital. She had been seriously ill two weeks and a patient
there since Feb. 11.
A native of Loda, Ill., she was married there in 1902 to T. Elmer Campbell. They moved to
West Lafayette in 1922 from Rensselaer. He was a meatcutter in several markets, and died
in 1956.
Mrs. Campbell was a charter member of both Covenant Presbyterian Church and Chapter 507,
Order of Eastern Star. She also was a member of Star City Chapter 292 of Rebekah Lodge,
White Shrine and Ameranth, Ladies Auxiliary 18 of Patriarch Militant, Silver Star Mothers
and World War Mothers.
Surviving are three daughters, Mrs. James St. John of West Lafayette, Mrs. Arthur L.
Raymond of Whiting and Mrs. John Hannon of Homewood, Ill., and two sons, Lloyd E. of
Vicksburg, Mich., and Maurice W. of Lafayette."
The 516 N. Salisbury St. address is where her daughter Mrs. St. John lived. I can also try
to find it for a picture, if you like.
Rebecca
