You are welcome. TIPCOA members and volunteers are adding the names from
burial permits and funeral home information
to Springvale on Findagrave. Photographs of the tombstones are being add by
myself, Amy, Brenda and Marc. This is a large
cemetery of around 17,000. We are working though this alpha - a to z.
Working on M's and P's right now.
A friend, Ruth started this large project several years ago. We all know
how helpful this is in finding family connections.
It is also helpful to others if you add your family group sheets to the TCHA
research library when your done
making the connections. Our Genealogy Society is now working there on
Thursday's and Friday's from
1 to 5 pm. I know the Marks family is spread out in Tippecanoe County. I
photographed all I could
find in the Marks Cemetery in Wayne township a few years ago.
I'm up to the H's on Greenbush. Many families transferred members between
these two cemeteries.
So check both places on Find-a-grave. I"vet also found an amazing about of
tombstone at both places for
the same persons. Must have been some goofy law back then stating you
couldn't re-use a tombstone if you
moved the body. We are trying very hard to note these when we post the
names/graves. Transfers occurred between
many local cemeteries. Families out grew the plots they bought and went to
the newer cemeteries to expand.
I will also share a page TIPCOA just finished this year. It will help with
the dates your looking for.
Joan Rodenberger was generous in sharing her work with us. Adina added a
nice format to the Genweb.

It has 4 indexes for obituary and deaths notices. We think we've made
several corrections on the early index, and we connected
them to Find-a-grave. All that was on the time we worked the index. More
names are being added all the time.
It all helps. Let us know if anything needs corrected. On Find-a-grave or
our WebPages.
Here is my list of cemeteries.

Subject: [INTIPPEC] Obit for Augusta Marks
I'm looking for an obituary for Augusta Marks who died either
7-24-35 or
7-31-35. She is buried in Springvale cemetery.
And just a public thank you to the volunteers, including L. A. Clugh and
Amy Harbor, who are getting pictures online for Springvale. Their work
gave me some information about the mother of George Marks that I really
needed to know!
