CAPTAIN WARREN SHEETZ
CAPTAIN SHEETZ is a native of Tippecanoe County, Indiana, his birth
occurring on the 9th of October, 1837. He was the third child of the
eleven children of FREDERICK and ELIZA C. (TAYLOR) SHEETZ, the parents
being natives of Hampshire County, Virginia, and very early pioneers of
Tippecanoe County, locating on a farm near Lafayette in 1821.
Hi Adina - Would you please double check the accuracy of the authors
statement that Frederick and Elizabeth Catherine SHEETZ arrived
Lafayette in 1821. My file shows they married Hampshire Co., VA, 21
Dec 1831. Also I show the birth date for Alfred as 1841 Shelby,
Tippecanoe and same birthplace for the younger children. However, I
show Warren as born same date as above but in Hampshire Co.
I've got a hunch the author or his typesetter were off by 20 years
and they meant to say he arrived 1841. Also I'm guessing you have
some independent sources that can determine which is correct.

Bill
