I'm trying to locate compiled cemetery records for early settlers
of
Wayne Township and Jackson Township, Tippecanoe County, Indiana.
I'm particularly interested in locating the graves of Abraham (or
Abram) Morgan and his wife of, I believe, Jackson Township and of
Abraham (or Abram) Kizer and his wife Charity of Wayne Township.
I'm most interested in learning something of the wives in hopes of
proving or disproving my speculation that they are relations of
mine. Any help will be gratefully received. Many thanks!!!
Hi John - Don't know if I can help much but Abraham KISER (ca 1797 -
21 Jun 1861) and his wife Charity TUCKER (27 Feb 1800 - 22 Dec 1879)
are both buried West Point Cemetery, Wayne, Tippecanoe Co. They
were married 11 Mar 1819 Montgomery Co., OH.
A Kiser family (Benjamin KISER & Mary FRYBACK) is my line, they are
also buried West Point. I have tried to factually tie down your
Abraham with little success. Abraham & Benjamin both relocated to the
area of West Point from Montgomery Co., OH. If I recall correctly an
Abraham was credited with the laying out of the area, subdividing and
selling the lots. not sure this is the same chap, however.
I'd appreciate it if you learn anything about these folks that you
will let me know.
Good luck,
Bill
