CARRIE ANDREWS
Mrs. Carrie Andrews, wife of Isaac Andrews, died at her home nine miles
northwest of the city yesterday morning at 12:10 o'clock from apoplexy.
She was taken ill on last Saturday while on her way home from Lafayette.
She had a severe pain in her head and became unconcious on Sunday. She
remained in a stupor until her death. Mrs. Andrews was formerly Miss Carrie
Watkins and was born in Jackson Township on February 12, 1876. She was
married to Mr. Andrews on July 3, 1895. She was a member of the Methodist
church at West Point and was one of the most lovable and popular women
in the community. She was devoted t her home and family and was a true
friend and kind neighbor. She leaves a husband and two daughters, Lenora
and Anita Andrews, and a mother, Mrs. Mary Watkins. She also leaves the
following brothers and sisters: Mrs. J. W. Buck, of Lafayette; Mrs. Thomas
Whalen, of Battle Creek, Mich.; Mrs. A.S. Tyler of Chicago; Mrs. Mark Andrews,
of South Raub; Mrs. Mary Cole, half sister, of Warren county; Benjamin
Watkins, of Glen Hall; John Watkins, of Detroit; and Willard Watkins, of
Warren county. Short services will be held at the residence tomorrow morning
at 10:30 o'clock and final services will be held in the Methodist church
at West Point tomorrow afternoon at 2 o'clock. The interment will be made
in the West Point cemetery.
