I would gladly buy a copy of your printout when you get it done. Many of
my Shaw and related family members are buried there. Little Robert
McFarland Barkley, Jr. was born 10 January 1860, died 25 November 1862,
and was buried with his grandparents James and Mary Cowan Shaw in the
Shaw row at Pretty Prairie Cemetery according to a letter written by his
cousin in 1927. When I was able to visit the cemetery on a cold rainy
day in 1986 I was only able to stay a few minutes, but his tombstone was
missing. There was a gap beside the stones of two other infant Shaw
grandchildren that I am sure was his burial place. James Shaw's
tombstone is beside a tree that has grown through a grave. The marker
was still there, broken and entangled with vines, but was not a Shaw
grave. I was very impressed such an old cemetery was so well kept and
pretty. My gr-gr-grandmother Mary Cowan Shaw was buried there in 1840.

I spend summers in the Delphi,Indiana area.I also have many
relatives buried
in the Pretty Prairie cemetery,Tippecanoe,Co. I have not been able
to locate
a list of graves so far. I have located most of my relative's
graves. I
plan to map out the complete grave locations (names off tombstones)
next
summer,as it is not a very large cemetery. I realize next summer is
quite
a time away but if you contact me next June or July,I will be most
happy
to try to locate your ancester's graves. Pretty Prairie Cemetery is
only
app.8 miles from my summer home so it is no problem.
This applys to anyone else needing help in locating graves in Pretty
Prairie
Cem.,Battle Ground, Indiana. (Tipp.Twp.-Tipp.Co.)
