Imo S. RUSK
DAYTON [Indiana]--Imo S. Rusk, 91, of 271 Washington St., died at 2:27 p.m.
Friday [Jan. 27, 1989] in Home Hospital, Lafayette. She had been
hospitalized two weeks.
Born Feb. 3, 1897, in Tippecanoe County, near Dayton, she was a lifelong
resident of the Dayton area and a 1915 graduate of Dayton High School.
Her marriage to Earl RUSK was in Lafayette. He died in 1964.
Mrs. Rusk, who joined the Dayton United Methodist Church in 1916, was one
of the oldest members. She had been a member of the Pythian Sisters since
1924 and was a charter member of Tippecanoe County Extension Homemakers
Club.
She was very active in the Indiana Mental Health Association and received
numerous awards for her work.
Surviving are three daughters, Helen M. Goodnight and Imogene M. Reed, both
of Dayton, and Mrs. Lee (Doris) Hill of Lake Placid, Fla.; two sons, Gordon
E. Rusk of Dayton [d. Mar. 20, 1990] and James E. Rusk of Goldon, Colo.; and
two sisters, Letha Nelson of Lafayette and Frances Larson of Largo, Fla.
