You may be right about the name. When I found his first marriage record in New
Orleans, it was listed as Zoarm, even though he had clearly signed his name as
Zorn. I would be forever grateful if you could find anything. Just the fact
that you are willing to look is great. Thank you for any time you may spend at
this. If you find anything, I would be happy to reimburse you for your time
and copies.

I just ran into the same problem with an ancestor of
mine. She died in Tippecanoe County and was even
buried there but no death record.
A few weeks ago I ran into that problem in Montgomery
County, Indiana and found the man I was looking for,
William Corns, listed as William Coons with a death
date 3 weeks later than the newspaper obituary. I'd
say there's a good chance that's what happened with
your ancestor since his name is unusual.
I'll print out your e-mail and the next time I'm in
the County Building I'll see if I can't find him.
