Thanks.
But I'm an Internet Specialist by profession and know the ins and outs of
viruses. I also know all about file extensions.
I didn't open an attachment. I also didn't open any of the e-mail that
caused my program to crash. Had to maneuver just to delete the mail without
opening it.
The e-mails that crashed my e-mail program were from different people,
replying to the same e-mail that obviously had some code in it to cause my
program to crash. I wondered if anyone else was having the same program.

Melinda,
It is not the email list that is crashing your computer. I did receive a
file attachment from someone on this list. And deleted that right away.
You can not send file attachments through an email list or a virus through
Rootsweb. Anytime you receive an attachment with 2 extensions on the back
end.
Delete it. ( Weaver.pic.doc) I got something like this from someone
on
this list. It came from their computer.....not from this email
list.
So if you have opened an attachment from someone. You probably have a
virus.
They find a way of emailing everyone one you have on your harddrive at the
time and sending them back out with files attached. And friendly
messages.
So update and RUN your virus protection program.
It's getting worse.
