Thanks Carol. I see that St. James is on Cincinnati St.
Interestingly, I looked up, in the Lafayette city directories online
(1890 census substitute), the name of the pastor that married my
relative (Henry Schoneberg), and it listed 2 addresses, one at 94
Cincinnati St, and one at 20 Oregon St. I don't know which was the
parsonage, and which was the church, but I doubt whatever structures
may have existed back then at those locations still exist. These
would both be in the RR corridor.
