Adina,
Kudos to you on this Soilders Home project!!!! I worked for the Department of Natural
Resources which is currently housed in one of the old administrative buildings (right
accross from the library and to the left of the commandants home). My office had a fire
place in it! It was so fun to see how the grounds looked in 1901. I can just imagaine
all the old soilders enjoying the grounds and particularly the shade of those tress which
today stand so tall and wise.

I just completed a new project - The Indiana State Soldiers Home 100 Years

I scanned in photos from a booklet published in 1901 showing pictures of the
buildings of the Home, along with pictures of the Board of Trustees and the
Executive Staff. Most of those old buildings are gone now, and for me it was
real interesting to see how the Home looked so very long ago.
There are some resources available at the Soldiers' home, but I need to
check there first before I let you know exactly what they have for those who
need to do research there. Does anyone else happen to know what resources
are at the Soldiers' Home?
I know they have the applications for residence at the Indiana State
