Subject: Are your photos marked

I have been working at this for many, many years and in the process I
have
been lucky enough to collect a lot of old photos of a lot of people.
The
trouble is that many of them are not identified and it is very
frustrating.
Can anyone out there help me in my search. I need to know when the
following
Vevay photographic studios were in operation? Or can you advise me
how to
get
this information? Are there any city directories available?
William H. Ruuggles, also dealer in watches, clocks, jewelry, perfumery
and
fancy articles.
Walton Studio, Vevay Ind.
I also have come across a photograph that I believe to be Judge Joseph
Malin
b. 1793-d. 1877, long time resident of Switzerland Co. Does anyone
know
where
there might be a photo of him that I can compare mine with?
Since I have you attention I will also throw in my surnames: Malin,
Mendenhall, Armstrong, Goddard, Campbell, and Manser.
Would appreciate any help in tracking down those studios.
