Hi Melinda,
I believe there is an Indian mound along Highway 156 in Posey
Township. I can't exactly remember now. I remember seeing it
as a boy. I have also been to one in Ohio County. Just across
the Switzerland County line. I'm sure there are others because
this land was heavily populated by the Indians.
There are stories that the farmers would farm here during the
day then cross the Ohio River into Kentucky at night for fear
of being killed.
As you probably know, the Greenville Treaty Line runs through
Switzerland County.
"The first such treaty affecting Indiana land was held in 1795,
when the Indians ceded lands east of a line drawn from Fort
Recovery in Ohio to a point on the Ohio River opposite the
mouth of the Kentucky River. A triangular strip in what is now
southeastern Indiana was thus opened for settlement....."

I am going back home the week of Thanksgiving. I will try to
pinpoint a location.
I hope this helps.
