The Jefferson County Genealogical Society will be holding
their first annual "Family History Day," May 5th, 2001,
9:30am - 3:00pm, at the Madison-Jefferson County Public
Library auditorium.

The afternoon is open so that folks can browse the genealogy
booths. My booth's topic is "Genealogy on the Internet." If
you are not able to make it to the workshop, then please
feel free to join the Southeastern Indiana Genealogy Chat
Room from 1:00 pm - 1:45 pm EST
<
http://www.seidata.com/~bhoggatt/seigchat.html>. I will
join the chat room from my booth at the library and see if
we can connect Internet researchers and those attending the
workshop, who are researching the same families. Maybe we'll
get a few matches.
Also, I will be in the chat room tonight from 8:00pm -
9:00pm in case anyone has any ideas or needs some experience
with the chat room format. Also, I have put up a page so
that you can post the surnames you are researching, so that
folks at the workshop can see what names everyone is
searching for.

See you in a few minutes...
