Benedict Swope Landram and Miss Kate Eichler, were married Sunday
afternoon at the residence of the officiating minister, Rev. Joseph W.
Hagin, pastor of the Fourth Street Christian Church, Covington. The
wedding was a private one and was attended only by the bride's sister
Miss Carrie Eichler, of Florence, Ind. The happy couple spent Sunday
and Monday in Cincinnati, and returned home here Monday evening where
a supper was spread at the home of the groom to a few invited
relatives. The bride is a very pretty and charming young lady, the
daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Chas. Eichler, Sr., of Florence, Ind., where
the young couple first met, and their friendship ripened into love
with a happy fruition at the marriage alter. The groom is a handsome
and prosperous young man, a son of the late Col.J.Landram. He is the
popular cashier of the Florence Deposit Bank, a successful institution
which he organized in December 1903. He is a splendid young man.
This is his second marriage his wife having been dead about eighteen
months. The young couple will make their home at his beautiful
residence here. They have a large circle of friends who extend to
them their best wishes for a long, happy and prosperous life

MRS. BESSIE PHILLIPS DEAD
Mrs. Bessie Phillips, aged 18 years, 1 month and 11 days died at
her home in York township, last Friday, after a lingering illness of
tuberculosis. Her husband survives her. The funeral services were
held Sunday, and interment took place in the German cemetery at
Florence.

McCreary to Lee Balsar both of Elwood. The bride is the daughter of
Mr. and Mrs. Jessie McCreary of Elwood, formerly of this place. Her
many friends extend congratulations.

Rev. John Asher officiated Tuesday afternoon at the marriage of
Edgar Cheever and Miss Dora Baatz, both well known young people of the
Florence neighborhood. They were at the Wright Hotel for supper and
left on the mailboat for their new home in Illinois. Mr. and Mrs.
Cheever are seservedly popular young folks and have a large circle of
friends in the county to wish them a generous share of life's
blessings.

Perle Fredenburg died at his home near East Enterprise Sunday
morning at 1 o'clock. The funeral services were held at the Baptist
church here on Monday at 2 o'clock. He was a member of the Masonic,
Red Men and Pocohontas orders and each of these societies took part in
the last sad rites at the grave. The remains were interred in the
Hastie cemetery by the side of his infant child which preceded the
father to the eternal rest.
