Subject: [INSWITZE] Locating Switzerland Co. Civil War Soldiers
Hello list,
I am trying to find out possible Civil War service information for three
Switzerland County residents. When I do a search on the Civil War Soldiers
and Sailors System I get multiple hits for these names and do not know who
to narrow the search down.
Here are the names:
William A. Graham, b. 1838, d. 1904
Hugh H. Lamb, b. 1840, d. 1922
James T. Nelson, b. 1827, d. 1864 (probably because of the war)
Ultimately, I would like to be able to obtain their compiled service
record,
pension, and the pensions of their widows. Knowing what units
Switzerland
County residents joined would be very helpful.
Is there anyone on the list who can help me?
Thanks,
Paul K. Graham
