Ellyn wrote this a few days ago and it is a great idea. Along the same
lines is this site which is for all states and counties. It is new so
there is not much info yet. I think we may have a better response on
this mail list because of the personal touch but this site has merit.

It's interesting that Don Weatherbee should mention how many of you are
from Texas.
I had been thinking about this idea for the last couple of days and what
would be the best way to work on it. I have often wondered what the
migration patterns out of Switzerland County would prove to be. I think
this might be a good project for our web site. To help me get started
how about posting where your ancestors moved to(town or county as well
as state) when they left Switzerland County along with the date.
I'll start compiling and see what information I can add on this end.
Naturally, a lot of people moved to the nearby large cities. We have
heard from Texas, and Iowa in the last few days. I also know a large
continguent moved to Kansas. Let's get started.
