Excuse my curiosity, but could 2-year old William really be the son of David and Elizabeth
Shafer? She would have been 56 years old when he was born. Is it possible instead the he
is a grandson born to an unmarried daughter?

I tried many ways to find Francis Warden but couldn't find anybody even close living
in the same town. There were a couple of close matches in Missouri though. Without having
any more info on him, I can't help ya. Hope this helps though! Marci
The little Bill age 2 in the Shafer household was brought to Missouri at age
14 by his aunt Rebecca and Uncle Bill Reagan. Bill Shafer's mother, Mary
Shafer, who later married Francis Warden and came to Missouri and had more
children, so all these families are intertwined.
