Upon further examination, if the year of death is in fact 1928, then
the George Land who is husband to "Aunt Pop" would likely be the s/o
William and Francis McCreary Land who was born in 1856. I do not have
his wife and children in my file. If anyone does I would be
interested in having that information.
Number 32 coming up later tonight or possibly tomorrow morning.

No year mentioned here, but the perpetual calendar indicates that June
19 occurred on Tuesday in 1888 and again in 1928. If Aunt "Pop"s
third husband is the George Land b. VA in 1802 and d. IN 1892, then
"Aunt Pop" would be Mary J. McCreary. Also, would "LIGE LAND" be LEWIS
LAND s/o George and Elizabeth Rayle LAND? If anyone has any thoughts
on this please let me know.

Aunt "Pop" Land, a highly esteemed old pioneer lady of this place
died Tuesday, June 19, at the home of his (?) granddaughter, Mrs.
Clara Morillion. Aunt Pop was born and raised in this vicinity. She
has been married three times. Her first husband being Benj. Haden,
second, Hiram Stevens and third, Geo. B. Land. Aunt Pop leaves one
son, William, who resides in Kansas and one step-son, Lige Land of
this place. She also had one daughter Mary, who died several years
ago. Aunt Pop has been a member of the M.E. Church for many years
where she has lived a faithful member up to the time of her death.
Her kind smile and cheery words will be missed by her many friends for
many days. The services was conducted at the M.E. Church by Rev.
Watkins of Patriot who spoke words of comfort to the bereaved ones
after which the remains were interred in the cemetery here. The
sympathy of their many friends is extended to the family.

No dates that I could find on the following group:
Louis Martin, Jr., has been critically ill at his home on Pleasant

was deemed necessary and was nicely performed by Dr. J. C. Hill

now recovering rapidly.
Charles Robinson, one of our old citizens, who had his leg broken
and was otherwise seriously hurt by being run over by a buggy one
night several weeks ago, is still in a serious condition. Mr.
Robinson's advanced years millitate against his speedy recovery, but
his many friends hope he will soon be able to be about.

events.

Hello Switzerland County Researchers,
I'm seeking any information regarding a James ADAMS buried in the
Ebenezer Cemetery. He was born 1835, died 1914. Believe his wife was
Elizabeth born 1839 died 1927. Her maiden name may have also been ADAMS.
Does anyone have names of children for this couple & also the parents of
Elizabeth.
Thanks in advance for your help,
Ed Jones
