SOUTH BEND - Leonard E. Buszkiewicz, 82, passed away at 1:55 pm on Sunday, November 6,
2011, in Hospice House. Leonard was born on June 4, 1929, in South Bend, to the late
Joseph and Carrie (Lewandowski) Buszkiewicz. On June 17, 1950, he married Rosemarie C.
Bykowski, who preceded him in death in July 2009. He is survived by his children, Len D.
Buszkiewicz of South Bend and Jeffrey S. (Carol) Buszkiewicz of Bloomington, IN; two
grandsons, David (Kelly) Buszkiewicz of Louisville, KY, and Daniel (Kyle) O'Donnell,
M.D., of Indianapolis, IN; and by his three great-grandchildren, Thomas H. Buszkiewicz and
Katey Rose Buszkiewicz of Louisville, KY, and Gabriella Lou O'Donnell of Indianapolis,
IN. Leonard retired in 1987 after 32 years from the United States Post Office. He was a
parishioner of St. Adalbert Catholic Church. Leonard loved all types of music, and was an
avid fan of Notre Dame and the Chicago Cubs. Leonard was an amateur artist, who enjoyed
collecting Western Art and !
Memorabilia. Visitation will be from 4:00 pm to 8:00 pm Wednesday, November 9, 2011, in
ST. JOSEPH FUNERAL HOME, 824 S. Mayflower Road. A Mass of Christian Burial will be
celebrated at 10:00 am on Thursday, November 10, 2011, in St. Adalbert Catholic Church.
Burial will follow at St. Joseph Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to St.
Adalbert Catholic Church, 2505 W. Grace St., South Bend, IN 46619; or to St. Vincent De
Paul, 3408 Ardmore Trail, South Bend, IN 46628. Condolences for the family may be made at
