I guess my mom was the babysitter at that time. The new babysitter hadn't been
babysitting for very long at all when the accident happened, in fact, I was always under
the impression it happend immediately after the new sitter took over, and that the new
sitter parked on the opposite side of the street, which explained why Mindy darted out
into the street between the school busses. But then again, I've never gotten a truely
accurate explanation of what had happened that day. Until recently, I had always thought
for some reason that some boys had pushed her into the street. I remember a girl named
Ann who lived on Brookton, a few doors down from me to the left of my house if you were
standing in the street looking at the house. I don't remember specific people who I
went to school with though. Other than Mindy, I pretty much only remember the cafeteria,
reading from those cards that had a short story on one side and like a short quiz on the
other side and you had to rea!
d so many of a one color to pass to the next level, and tons of snow that winter. I had
shoulder length straight blonde hair with bangs that my mom cut too short and crooked, and
glasses, lol. I sent my mom an email last night asking her and my dad to go through our
pictures to see if they can find any with Mindy, but I've looked through them so many
times and I know I would have remembered seeing her picture. I know the very last time I
saw Mindy's face was when they put a picture of her face on the news, with "Flagg
Girl, Pupil" above her picture. It was the day after she died. That was a great
idea you had about archives. I just sent an email to a friend of mine that works for the
school district there, perhaps she can find out for us! Do you think we should take this
conversation off the message board? If you want to, you can email me directly at
kimhendricks(a)gmail.com. Do you have a Facebook account? I actually set up a little
memorial page for Mindy. It's b!
y no means much of anything, and there's not much there, but it's a li
ttle something.
