Greetings:
I saw your message on a Rootsweb mail list.
I was born in Duluth, now am in Minneapolis, and have been engaged in doing my Dad's
Polish family history for over 30 years.
I don't believe that I am related to any Majchrzaks. There was a woman named Pauline
Majchrzak who lived in West Duluth who was researching her family, but I just sent her an
email and her email address is no longer active.
She may no longer be living as she would be in her 70s or more now. I haven't
communicated with her for a very long time.
I probably know more about the Poles of Duluth (and Gnesen) than any other genealogist.
Are there any other Poles that you think might have been in Duluth in those days. My ggf,
Jan Marszalkiewsic (John Marshall) and his brother and sister came to Duluth in 1872 and
were founding members of the first Polish parish, St. Mary Star of the Sea, in 1883.
Ray Marshall
Minneapolis
